Q. How to set up a wireless network?
A. Step 1:
Determine which Wireless Standard to use

A standard is a set of specifications for a device. All devices that follow a specific standard share operating characteristics, such as the radio frequency used and maximum data transfer speed.


There are 3 wireless standard to choose from at this time:
802.11b -
802.11a -
802.11g -

802.11b
:
Widely adopted, Inexpensive, Good range, and Data rate up to 11Mbps at 2.4GHz

802.11a:
Relatively new technology, Expensive, Short range, and Data rate up to 54Mbps at 5.0GHz

802.11g
:
Growing rapidly, Relatively inexpensive, Good range, and Data rate up to 54Mbps at 2.4GHz


     Step 2:
Determine required equipment
